Afnan Al Galil is a grassroots non-for-profit-organization located in the Arab community of Arraba in the Western Galilee/Israel.

It rose in 2007 as a result of Arab women’s initiative, striving for change and improvement of their own and their family’s social and economic situation.

 

Afnan Al Galil promotes Arab society’s development with the focus to reduce the gap of unbalanced opportunities between men and women.

 

Afnan Al Galil provides empowerment and leadership education for Arab women and girls as well as awareness building programs about human and gender rights , social and health issues and community processes involvement.

Furthermore, it organizes intercultural  encounters to create mutual understanding between ethnic groups
